Kigali city tour, volcanoes national park, the first national park to be created in Africa found in North Western
Rwanda covering an area of 160km2 bordering
Virunga national park in Democratic Republic of Congo and Mgahinga national park in Uganda best known for Mt gorilla and golden monkey trekking, the base for the primatologist Dian Fossey, nature walks, boat cruise or relaxation on
lake kivu. With wildlife including Buffaloes, Spotted hyenas, bush bucks, Gorillas, Golden monkeys, Giant forest hog, elephants, lions, warthogs among others.
What to pack for Gorilla Trekking:
- Raincoat and sweater
- A cap to protect your head and sunglasses to protect your eyes from the same.
- Hand gloves will help protect your hands from sharp tree branches.
- Hiking Boots: a tracker needs to acquire shoes with good grip/traction and can cover the
- feet/ankles.
- Clothes, recommend long sleeved top and a long pair of trousers, cream, brown, grey and dark
- green.
- Insect Repellents:
- Long stockings since you will have to tuck in your pants
- Trekking sticks are given at the park but you bring a unique one with you if you want.
- Camera with a great focus, strong battery and memory
