Overview

Our 5 Days Rwanda Gorilla and Golden Monkey Tracking Rwanda Safari will lead you to volcanoes national found in the Northwestern part of Rwanda. The park for gorilla trekking, golden monkey trekking, nature walks, lake kivu for boat cruise or relaxation, and cultural visits. With different mammal species including buffaloes, bush pigs, bush bucks, spotted hyenas, giant forest hog, golden monkey, gorillas and other wildlife. 
What to pack for Gorilla & Monkey Trekking:
  • Raincoat and sweater
  • A cap to protect your head and sunglasses to protect your eyes from the same.
  • Hand gloves will help protect your hands from sharp tree branches.
  • Hiking Boots: a tracker needs to acquire shoes with good grip/traction and can cover the
  • feet/ankles.
  • Clothes, recommend long sleeved top and a long pair of trousers, cream, brown, grey and dark
  • green.
  • Insect Repellents:
  • Long stockings since you will have to tuck in your pants
  • Trekking sticks are given at the park but you bring a unique one with you if you want.
  • Camera with a great focus, strong battery and memory

Itinerary

Day 1 :
Arrival at Kigali Airport
Thanks for joining our 5days gorilla and golden monkey tracking Rwanda safari and welcome to Rwanda. On arrival at the Airport, you will meet and greet our professional safari guide who will take you through your 5days safari. Pick you up and transfer you to the booked hotel for dinner and overnight.Meal plan: Full Board.Accommodation: Luxury: Serena Kigali.Mid range: Five to Five hotel.Budget: Yambi guest house.
Day 2 :
Transfer to volcanoes national park
After your strong breakfast check out from the hotel. The safari guide will pick you up and transfer you to volcanoes national park. Later check in with lunch at the hotel and go for the cultural vists at iby’iwachu cultural center to know more about Rwandan culture in terms of dancing, speaking and their way of life and visit the local markets in the Afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the booked hotel.Meal plan: Full Board.Accommodation: Luxury: Singita lodge.Mid range: Davinci lodge.Budget: Garden place Hotel.
Day 3 :
Gorilla trekking and guided nature walks.
After breakfast, the safari guide will pick you up and drive you the park headquarters for briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. After you will enter the forest and start the trekking. Where you will spend 5-6hours searching for the gorillas, once you have found one you are given 1hour with them know their way of living, behavior, have pictures. Have lunch and go for the late afternoon guided nature walks after return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.Meal plan: Full Board.Accommodation: Luxury: Singita lodge.Mid range: Davinci lodge.Budget: Garden place Hotel.
Day 4 :
Golden monkey tracking and boat cruise
After breakfast the safari guide will drive you to the park for registration and briefing, after start the trekking where you will have a chance to touch base with them. After have bush lunch and go for afternoon boat cruise or relaxation at lake kivu, then return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.Meal plan: Full Board.Accommodation: Luxury: Singita lodge.Mid range: Davinci lodge.Budget: Garden place Hotel.
Day 5 :
Return back to Kigali
After breakfast check out from the hotel. The safari guide will pick you up and drive you Kigali Airport for your departure flight back home.Meal plan: BreakfastEnd of safari.
