This Kenya Safari & Uganda Gorilla Trek 10 Days is good for those who want to see both the Premium Kenya’s beautiful National Parks and to extend to Uganda to see the world’s mountain gorillas. This trip takes you to the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is considered to be the best park in the whole world offering gorilla trekking activity.

Please Note:
- Gorilla trekking permits need to be secured in advance, and their availability can impact the final itinerary.
- One has to be 15 years and above to trek mountain gorillas
- Transportation is the van in budget and land cruiser in midrange unless communicated
What to pack for gorilla trekking:
- Raincoat and sweater
- A cap to protect your head and sunglasses to protect your eyes from the same.
- Hand gloves will help protect your hands from sharp tree branches.
- Hiking Boots: a tracker needs to acquire shoes with good grip/traction and can cover the feet/ankles.
- Clothes recommend long long-sleeved top and a long pair of trousers, cream, brown, grey and dark green.
- Insect Repellents:
- Long stockings since you will have to tuck in your pants
- Trekking sticks are given at the park but you bring a unique one with you if you want.
- Camera with a great focus, strong battery and memory
Itinerary
At 0730Hrs, after Morning breakfast from Nairobi Hotel OR from Nairobi Airport, you will be met by our our Company respresentative together with your Professional Safari Driver Guide, then have a short briefing before you depart to Amboseli. This is the Main Nairobi- Mombasa Highway, soon after arriving the Township of Emali, you will turn right and proceed to Amboseli Lodge. You will have Lunch then have some time to relax at the pool or at the Compound. This Lodge is well located inside the Park and you can see animals from the Lodge compound. At 1600Hrs, proceed for the Evening Game Drive. Amboseli National Park is Famously known for the huge Family of Elephants, and the Biggest Mountain In Africa measuring 5,895m OR 19,000fts. If you are Lucky, you will see this Mountain. Other animals seen are Wilderbeests, Buffaloes, Hyenas, Ostriches, Zebras e.t.c before returning to the Lodge as sun sets Dinner & Overnight on a Full Board Basis (FB.) at Amboseli Sopa Lodge: 4 Star Lodge. The Second Day, in Amboseli, after Morning Breakfast at 0730Hrs depart for you Full Day Game drive with your Picnic Lunch Boxes within Amboseli Park. You will have a better part of the day and an apportunity of seeing Elephants crossing the Road from the Woodlands going to the Swamp to eat and drink. You may also have the second chance to see Mount Kilimanjaro which is the Biggest in Africa measuring (5,895mts OR 19,000fts) and also famous for large family of Elephants among other animals. You will also have an opportunity to visit the Amboseli View Point (Observation Hill), where you will have an opportunity to climb the stairs to the view point, which gives you the whole View of the Park. It is at this point when you will have your Lunch Boxes with the Cool breeze from little Lake Amboseli. After Lunch, you will have a Game drive on your way back to your Camp, arriving at the Camp at 1600Hrs. Dinner & Overnight on a Full Board Basis (FB.) at Amboseli Sopa Lodge : 4 Star Lodge. At 0700Hrs, after Morning Breakfast, depart Amboseli for Lake Naivasha. You will drive through the Mombasa-Nairobi-Naivasha Highway. On arrival at Nairobi the Capital city, proceed to towards the rift escarpment the Grate Rift Valley which occurred due to Volcanic Eruption, stop and take quick photos, proceed and still On the same road build by the Italian Prisoners of war in 1942, you will see by roadside the “Historical Smallest Catholic Church in the World” build by the Italians Prisoners in one Day. This church hold a Maximum of 12 Persons at once, making it the smallest church in the World. Continue to Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort arriving at 1300Hrs, where you will be checked inn followed by Hot Lunch. At 1500Hrs, you will meet your driver guide at the Parking and drive for 10 minutes to the Boat Ride Reception area. Here, you will proceed for a Unique Experience of Boat ride Excursion within the Fresh water Lake to see family of Hippopotamus and a vast variety of birds, i.e Fish Eagle, King Fisher, Pelicans, Cormorants e.t.c. After this Experience, drive back to your hotel in the evening. Dinner & Overnight on a Full Board Basis (FB.) at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort: 4 Star Resort (Approximately 300 Kilometers- 6 Hours Drive) (Meal Plan: B, L & D)
At 0930Hrs, after Morning breakfast, chck out and depart to Lake Nakuru via Naivasha-Gilgil-Nakuru Highway. On arrival at the lodge at 1230Hrs, you will be received and checked inn followed by Hot Lunch. At 1600Hrs, proceed for your Evening game drive, Lake Nakuru is known as Home for the White Rhinos, Rare Rothschild giraffes, Buffaloes, Zebras, Gazelles, Impalas, Warthogs, Ostriches, Pelicans, Cormorants and at the moment some few Flamingos due to Climate Change. e.t.c. before returning to the lodge as the sun sets. Dinner & Overnight on a Full board basis (FB) at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge: 4 star Lodge. (Approximately 120 Kilometers- 2 Hours Drive) (Meal Plan: B, L & D)
At 0730Hrs, After an early morning breakfast, drive to Masai Mara via Narok town . You will travel across the bread basket of Kenya, covered with acres of Wheat and Barley, before you reach the Mara in time for lunch. Following lunch and a siesta. At 1600Hrs, you will proceed for the Evening game drive returning to the Camp as the sun sets. Masai Mara is famously known for its variety of animals i.e Lions, Elephants, Buffalo”s, Zebras, Gazelles, Antelopes, Ostriches, Warthogs, Cheetahs with a chance to spot a Leopard, among other animals. Dinner & Overnight on a Full Board Basis (FB.) at Mara Sopa Lodge: 4 Star Lodge. (Meal Plan B, L & D) (Approximately 230 Kilometers-Travel Time approximately 5 Hours) (Meal Plan L & D )
The Second day in Masai Mara, after Morning Breakfast at 0730Hrs, depart for a Full day Game Drive with your Picnic Lunch Boxes within Masai Mara Park. Explore the Park with a visit to the Mara river, where you have a chance of seeing the Crocodiles. You have the better part of the day to spot more animals elephants, Lions, Zebras, Cheetahs, and if you are Lucky try to spot the Rare Leopard and the black rhino, thereafter you will have an opportunity to have your Lunch under a tree in the plain Savannah surrounded by Zebras Gazelles & Wildebeests. After Lunch, you will return back to the Lodge with a Game drive en route, arriving at the Lodge by 1600Hrs. Dinner & Overnight on a Full Board Basis.(FB) at Mara Sopa Lodge: 4 Star Lodge. Masai Mara Is Famously Known for “Hot Air Balloon ride” where Clients take a Balloon ride and see the animals from above. It takes 1.5 Hours Flight with a Champagne Breakfast in the middle of the savannah, before returning back to your camp.

At 0700Hrs, After Early morning breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and head across acres of rolling wheat and barley farms to Narok. Upon arrival at Narok Town, cross over to the vast plains on the floor of the Rift valley whilst keeping an eye out for herds of Gazelle before heading up the rift escarpment, upon arrival into Kenya”s bustling capital City Nairobi at Noon, proceed to the Airport where you will be dropped off at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch up your Flight to Entebber -Uganda departing in the afternoon. Upon arrival at Entebbe Internatioal Airport in Uganda, you will be met by our Ugandan partner, then be transferred to your Hotel in Kampala, where you will be Checked-in, rest, and freshen up as you prepare for next day’s journey to Bwindi. At 0700Hrs, After Early breakfast, depart from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (approximately 8-9 hours). Enjoy scenic views and make stopovers along the way and Lunch at a local restaurant en route. Once you arrive at in Bwindi, Go ahead and check-in, relax, and enjoy the natural surroundings. Accommodation options: Icumbi gorilla lodge -Midrange / Buhoma rest camp -Budget. Meal plan: B, L & D.
After having breakfast in the morning at the lodge, you be transferred to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park headquarters for a pre-trekking briefing about the dos and don’ts by park rangers, later you will be divided into groups and embark on the thrilling gorilla trekking adventure. Once you find gorillas, you will Spend 1 hour time observing and photographing the gorillas in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the starting point and will be awarded a gorilla trekking certificate that shows you did gorilla trekking in Uganda. Return to the lodge for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa Pygmy community for a cultural experience and Learn about their traditional way of life, dances, and crafts. Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation. At 0700Hrs, After breakfast, Check-out to begin your journey back to Kampala/ Entebbe airport (approximately 8-9 hours). There will be a Stopover at Uganda Equator for experiments and pictures and also for lunch at a local restaurant along the way, therafter you will be dropped at Entebbe International Airport to catch up your outbound flight home OR an option of an overnight stay in Kampala Hotel.
