Overview

This Uganda Gorilla & Chimpanzee Habituation 6 Days Safari is good for those who want to see the world’s great primates in the names of mountain gorillas and chimpanzees and spend more time with them. This trip takes you to the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the Rushaga sector of bwindi for gorilla habituation experience and then to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee habituation. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is considered to be the best park in the whole world offering gorilla trekking activity. Please Note, that One needs to be 15 years and above to go for gorilla and chimps habituation.

Itinerary

Day 1 :
Arrival at Entebbe and transfer to the Hotel
-Accommodation on the last day of the tour-International airfares-Uganda Entry Visa fees (USD50 which can be paid online or upon arrival at the Airport-Items of a personal nature such as tips, drinks, and laundry-Travel insurance [we highly recommend this]
Day 2 :
Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
At 0700Hrs, You will be picked by driver/guide from the hotel to start your 6 day gorilla and chimp habituation safari to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. With stopover at the Equator crossing for photography and a lunch break in Mbarara town. You will then proceed to Rushaga sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park because this is where gorilla habituation is currently taking place. This journey is very scenic as you have an opportunity to see the Kigezi rolling hills and valleys as you travel to Kisoro or southern part if Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive late afternoon for Dinner and Overnight at Gorilla Leisure Lodge. Travel time between 8-9 Hours (Meal plan: B, L & D).
Day 3 :
Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
At 0600Hrs, you will wake up early in the morning and head to the park headquarters to join other clients for briefing about do’s and don’ts while with mountain gorillas on your habituation experience. After briefing, you will start your trek into the forest guided by park rangers. During your trek, you may encounter several birds, other animals and primates in the forest and once you have found the gorillas you will spend 4 hours with them, this is the best experience that you will never forget for the rest of your life, observe these gentle giants and take many photos as you can, later after the experience, return back to the Lodge for overnight at Gorilla Leisure Lodge. Travel time between 8-9 Hours (Meal plan: B, L & D).
Day 4 :
Drive to Kibale Forest National Park for overnight.
At 0630Hrs, After an early morning breakfast, you will drive from Bwindi Impenetrable National park to Kibale Forest National Park on this third day of your 6 day gorilla and chimp habituation safari. You will arrive late afternoon for Dinner and overnight at Chimpundu Safari Lodge. Travel time between 6-7 Hours (Meal plan: B, L & D).
Day 5 :
Chimps habituation in Kibale National Park
At 0630Hrs, After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park for briefing about the dos and don’ts while having chimpanzees. After briefing, you will start your trek into the forest with chances of seeing other primates in the forest. You will spend the 4 hours in the presence of chimpanzees while observing and taking photos. Return to the starting point for the certificate and proceed to the Lodge for Dinner and overnight at Chimpundu Safari Lodge. Travel time between 6-7 Hours (Meal plan: B, L & D).
Day 6 :
Drive back to Entebbe International Airport
At 0700Hrs, After breakfast and depending on your departure flight details, you will drive between 5-7 hours to Kampala/Entebbe marking the end of this 6 day gorillas and chimps habituation safari in Uganda, you will be dropped at Entebbe International Airport to catch up your outbound flight home OR an option of an overnight stay in Kampala Hotel. Travel time between 5-7 Hours (Meal plan: B & L). END OF OUR SERVICES.
